I'm JDH, a former evangelical pastor who found liberation through anarchism and Zen practice. After serving diverse communities for over a decade, I left evangelicalism in 2022 and Christianity in 2024 to pursue a more authentic path — one grounded in solidarity rather than hierarchy.

Hey Rebel exists for people at the beginning of that questioning. Through long-form writing and conversation, we explore socialist and anarchist ideas not as abstract theory, but as practical alternatives to the systems causing so much harm. The goal is simple: clear thinking, honest analysis, and the kind of solidarity that makes resistance possible.
